Review: Hotness Straightener

Hey gorgeous people! So, if you watched my latest video on the lovely Hotness straightener, you knew to come here for the full review.

I've been in contact with the friendly staff of Hotness Tools for about a week, discussing the shipment of the lovely hair straightener, appropriately named "Stripes". This zebra-esque beaut has been my go-to straightener for the past month and a half since I received the product! I made sure I knew all the background information before I made the video review, but I must say it's extremely difficult to squeeze a ton of great feedback into one 3 minute video! Haha, anyways, the video I did post a little under 6 minutes because I introduced my new video format, and knowing me, my intros can get a little... well, let's just say long. Not that my blog posts are any different... ahah...eh.

So the website here:  http://www.hotnesstools.com/ , is a very modern style type site. Mostly catered to the younger teen crowd. As you enter the site, you will notice many simple to follow tabs on the left-hand side, and you will also be greeted by the boasting reviews from various pros and magazines. The site is very professional and easy to navigate. Don't you just hate the sites that lead you to one place but say another? I know I do. Another technical thing I enjoyed about the website was the theme. Very clean and attractive, caught my eye, and not too many things like these do.

PROS:
  • Cheap price, only $90
  • FREE SHIPPING!
  • 4 year warranty
  • Suitable for all hair types
  • Easy to use
  • Swivel Cord
  • Rounded plates for flipping and curling ease
  • Lightweight and very cute!
  • HUGE variety of colours and styles
  • 1" plate width
  • Easy to maneuver throughout the weave ;)
  • LCD Screen
  • Auto-Shut off
  • SUPER fast heat up! Ridiculous-like, 15 seconds!
  • Ceramic plates, leaves hair shiny and protects from colour fading
CONS:
  • Needs to heat up a little higher ;) Only 450° F or 230° C - but very suitable for 'normal' people...not unlike myself...right? :D

I've made a little list of pros and cons about the product, but for me, it was a definite win, with my final rating of 4.5/5, I really liked it, and will continue to use it. The fact that the iron uses IntelTek and Tourmaline technology is pretty impressive. The fact that is actually works is that much more. It has a auto-shut off feature which is really helpful for those like myself who rush out of the house forgetting about turning off potential fire hazards... Along with that, it has a display screen with nice blue tones, well, I don't think that was meant to be the focal point of 'OOOH!' but it was enough to get me excited. It's suitable for both thin and thick hair, and it's very easy to handle, along with the solid structure.

Not too many cons, actually, well only one. The heat, I really wish it was a tad bit hotter, but I mean, for the price of the product it's definitely sufficient enough. I'm not one to sit there for 3 hours and slide the plates down my hair one slow strand at a time, I like something nice and hot to get the job done quick, but for $90 + free shipping, it definitely does the job next to perfectly!

In conclusion, if someone else had reviewed this, than I would probably have bought this instead of my CHI, because I'm honestly liking the features and quality of the Hotness Straightener a teensy bit better than that of the over $100 CHI. If you're looking into investing in a straightener definitely check out this site before you make any big decisions, because it just might change your mind, and for that kind of price, you really can't go wrong...AND FREE SHIPPING!

Thanks so much for listening in on the new Hotness Straightener, and definitely more reviews to come! Hope you liked, and I'll see you all in my next video!

Ciao
