HUGE Aveyou.com Haul + Review

So here it is- the FULL review my loves! This is going to be a long one, so I'm really trying to condense it! Here we go :)

P.S. - Check out the bottom of this post for links, a coupon code and lots of pictures!!

Lets start with shipping...

So, when I first received the initial package, it looked like a mess. If you watched my video, you probably seen how it was ripped before I opened it, it had dirt all over it, and the contents were banged up pretty bad too. That's sort of the con of this whole review. I wonder if they just did this because of me? I haven't heard too much from other gurus about shipping from Aveyou.com, so who knows, it could of just been a freak accident right? Shipping time was about two and a half weeks I would say, not too bad I guess, came from New Jersey, USA and was received in Ontario, Canada. Along with Canadian-ness, follows ridiculous customs charges. My package's contents were worth over $100, so I got slapped with a beautiful $30 customs fee before I could even receive my package. JOY TO THE WORLD.

Next thing-payment, super easy actually, I was really surprised! It was a sponsored video so I had a $150 gift certificate to choose products I thought would be suitable for review purposes. I ended up getting the products that seemed popular that maybe you wanted to see a review on - because HUNNY-I'M ALL HONESTY, and I also bought some things I thought would be great to try out at somewhat affordable prices. They also sent along some moisturizer samples and some cute reusable bags.

Let me say before I get into the nitty gritty deets, I will never ever ever ever ever ever lie about a product because it's been given to me. I could care less is the company tells me they will sponsor me again and again, if I don't like the product, I will let that opinion be heard.

First thing first,  The Celebrity Lips Lip Plumper.
Cost: $18. Extremely unreasonable...even if the product ACTUALLY worked.

I've been on the hunt for a good lip plumper for a while and couldn't lose out on the opportunity to try one out for free. SO, I opened it up, and noticed how little is actually in the tube, its pretty pathetic. The texture is very weird, to me seems like the consistency of a watered down face primer, yuck. doesn't really absorb nicely either for some reason, and it claims you can wear it alone, or put it under your lip gloss or lipstick. I tried it both ways, on my dry lips it felt annoying. If i bumped my lip in the slightest way it would come off-see what I mean about the non-absorbing thing? And under lipstick? Okay, ew, it made my lipstick gross and way too sheer, it also seemed to break up the formula of my lipstick, making it look like my lips were cracked. Not fun.

It also claimed it would make the collagen in my lips improve. It didn't. Before and after pictures were literally exactly the same. So definitely not something I'd even give to my ungrateful cousin, as much as I dislike the both of them... Anyways, in a nutshell here's the pros and cons:

PROS
  • Glossy finish
  • Attractive packaging
CONS
  • Price is unreasonable
  • False claims!
  • Gross texture
  • Horrible under lip stick or gloss
  • Absolutely no improvement
  • No tingly feeling
  • Doesn't absorb into my lips
  • Hardly anything in the tube
Again, honesty. Not everyone is going to tell you that.

Ganache for Lips in Vanilla Mousse
Price: $4

I actually cannot believe how much I love this product. Such a simple yet clever idea! This delicious treat for your lips has a yummy vanilla scent, contains all natural ingredients, real chocolate and vanilla (you can choose your flavour) and the price is outstanding in this day and age.

Nothing bad to say about this lovely little balm! It's a must have for spring and summer and it's such a cute little gift!

PROS
  • Smells delicious
  • Price is right!
  • Great variety of flavours
  • All natural ingredients
  • Moisturizing
  • Quick absorption
  • Adorable packaging
  • Somewhat edible...
CONS
  • I haven't seen it anywhere else. Unfortunately you can only purchase it on Aveyou.com :(

OPI Baguette Me Not Lip Colour
Price: $10

Oh la la! I love corals and bright colours for the lips! Cute, springy and flirty, plus the name brand is always a nice reminder of how lucky you are to be holding this little baby. Yeah, its only a lip stick. I take things too seriously huh? ;). Price is a little on the expensive side, you don't get too much in the actual tube, but the colour payoff is great! A little goes along way and they have a wide range of colours too! Very creamy texture, so simple to just glide on and go, primer or not! It doesn't feather into lines (no I don't have that, but I tested it out on my hand, and it didn't seep into any little ridges! Always a plus for the over 40 and foxy ;). Overall, a very good quality product! I would recommend this highly believe it or not.

PROS
  • Name brand ^^
  • Sleek design
  • Great colour range
  • Creamy texture
  • Non-feathering
  • Has a lip stain effect
  • Nice pointed tip for precise application
  • A little goes along way
  • Glide and go!
CONS
  • A little on the pricey side
  • Not as much product as a standard drugstore lipstick

Model in a Bottle Setting Spray
Price: $18

Aveyou.com and told him my situation. He kindly understood and said no customer should be treated this way. He rushed out another package immediately, and this was luckily free of charge.

The product itself though was very good! Kept a matte finish to my face which I loved, and gave me a nice healthy glow. They also have a sensitive skin version, but i wanted to try this one which was the original formula, 2 fl. oz. Sort of deceiving though, you really don't get that much in the bottle. One thing I noticed that I tried to explain in my video was the fact that if I wore shimmery eyeshadow or blush, whatever particles misted onto that area seemed to make that area a bit duller than the rest of my makeup. Confusing right? Strange-I know. I still liked it nonetheless, and I put the other 'disfunctional' one into a spray bottle. That's my mom's mother's day gift. ;) Jokes. That would be funny though.

PROS
  • Sets makeup for extensive periods of time
  • Keeps a matte finish
  • Adds  healthy glow
  • Stays on without budging!
  • If you don't like waterproof mascara, you'll love this.
  • Smells amazing
  • Doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.
  • Reasonable price
  • Cute appearance
CONS
  • Bottle texture collects finger prints and absorbs oils :(
  • Wish there was more bang for your buck.
Tassi Keep Your Hair Outta There! in Bubblegum
Price: $14.99

INGENIOUS. Love this you guys-if you're going to buy one thing, make this one it! Its so simple yet so useful! I use it every single day to shield my already unruly hair from water and makeup during the applications. You could even grab a couple for a girls night in to keep your hair off your faces if you plan on doing facials or makeovers on each other. I love the towel material, because it absorbs the water when I'm washing my face so it's not like I'm wearing a noisy shower cap. It also eliminates those lines created my an elastic, and its a stretchy material so one size should fit all! Has a ton of fun colours to choose from. Love it so much!

PROS
  • Stylish!!
  • Affordable
  • Creative
  • Comfortable
  • Absorbs water, doesn't just splash it away.
  • Actually does what it claims
No cons.

Eye Love Anti-Puff Eye Roller
Price: $39.95

Meh. Not the best product, but I believe it helps somewhat. You basically roll this on your eyes when you need to de-puff and voila. It's magical. Well, not really. I don't think its worth the price first of all, since after all your rubbing a metal ball on your face. Secondly, the fact that make sit work is not involving whats inside specifically, but the fact that the little ball is cool, and whenever you apply something cool to your face when it's puffy you're beginning to drain away those excess fluids that make your face puffy in the first place. So, I'm not saying it doesn't work, but there are just other alternatives. You could try the cold cloth technique or the potato slices, either way, its cheaper than this.

PROS
  • Cute packaging
  • Does de-puff
  • Easy to maneuver
  • Creative gift for mum?
CONS
  • Too expensive.
  • Not much in the bottle
  • Other free alternatives available
  • Small company...
  • Could irritate skin and eyes
  • Not worth the money
LASHEM 3-in-1 Eye Bright
Price: $39.99

I had some adventures with this product that's for sure. Same deal with this little buddy as the Model in a Bottle spray, but turns out this was probably one of my top favourites!
What is that!??

I have THE worst puffy, dark circle eye situation for a teen, it's horrible. I actually cannot believe how much this product helps reduce that! I put it on before i go to sleep and the part I'm not crazy about is the fact that it tingles... That's a bit weird, but it goes away in 1-2 minutes, and when I wake up my eyes are not puffy! Honestly, it sounds ridiculous, but whatever is inside of this product is my new BFF. It actually works, and I'm amazed by that, because you don't know how many products I've tried that don't work, and how much money I've spent. Wow. And I get this for free and it answers my problems! Fantastic!

PROS
  • ACTUALLY WORKS!
  • Affordable
  • Reduces puffiness
  • Reduces bags and circles!
  • Easy application
  • absorbs quickly
CONS
  • Very little product
  • Packaging is strange
  • Tingling sensation on the eyes
  • Chemical smell.
